The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death initiated the story’s plot—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the party access places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Fans can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
